Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny in my first Yarn Along in a long time!  Knitting has slowed down a bit for me as the weather has been warming up, but I still like to have a few projects on hand to keep me busy when the desire arises.  Blake was in need of a case for his recorder, so I knit one up using my own pattern.  The yarn is Lamb's Pride in elderberry.  I also did a quick knit for a friend who just had her 6th baby (and happens to love chickens!).  I combined a simple newborn hat pattern and used the Chicken Hat pattern for the beak and comb details.  I am hoping she will send me a pick of him wearing it- she used it in her newborn photos! I will be sure to add it to my Ravelry page when she does.   And now I am knitting up a pair of longies for another friend's baby boy.  It is my go to pattern for longies- Picky Pants knit in Berroco Ultra Alpaca buckwheat.  I love this yarn...so, so soft and knits up wonderfully!
